Moved from Manasa to Mumbai in 1940 and, starting from scratch, built multiple businesses through vision, enterprise and an instinct for opportunity. He was committed to philanthropy and to a family culture of values, responsibility and togetherness.
Regarded as a doyen of the textile trade, he was the main pillar of the family business. With his brothers he set up a college, a dharamshala and a gaushala at Manasa, the town's first college.
His ability to identify opportunities, take calculated risks and build for the long term laid the foundation for the family's entrepreneurial journey.
He believed strongly in family, responsibility, integrity and helping others. These principles became an important part of the culture of the Samdani family and continue to influence succeeding generations.
